‘You, Mom, and the Cowboy’ by Yusuke Inaba will be screened in the program The Unlimited Possibilities of Cinema: Selected by Apichatpong Weerasethakul at Jacob Burns Film Center in NY. Apichatpong Weerasethakul will host its screening of the 5th of May.

‘You, Mom, and The Cowboy’ was one of the highlights in my 2010 cinema experience. I was hypnotized by the pitch black beauty of solitude and humor. The film puts me in a dream state where machine and youth are synthesized. It is a world that I am happily trapped in. (Apichatpong Weerasethakul)

 

 

Mirai Mizue‘s ‘Modern n°2′ and ‘Chaotic Order’ will be broadcast on French TV channel CANAL+ from April, with a bonus of mini interview with Mirai Mizue!

 

 

This year again, CaRTe bLaNChe welcomed the new students at Kyoto University of Art & Design in April with the 2 programs which brings together 11 international short films, such as ‘L’homme sans tête’, ’DUST KID’,  ’Staging Silence’, ‘The Fan and The Flower’, ‘Mobile’ and ‘Bottle’.

‘Modern No.2′ is selected at European Media Art Festival (in the competition program ‘Distant Voices – Still Lifes’), Istanbul International Children’s Film Festival and ANIFEST (in the competition).

‘AND AND’ is selected at ANIFEST (in the competition) and the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (MuVi program).

‘MIDORI-KO’ is selected at the BAFICI: Buenos Aires Festival De Cine Independiente (in the Cine del Futuro competition) and Titanic Filmfestival.

‘The Great Rabbit’ is selected at the CPH PIX, Istanbul International Children’s Film Festival, IndieLisboa (in the competition) and International Short Film Festival Oberhausen.

‘The Mechanism of Spring’ is selected at the Istanbul International Children’s Film Festival and ANIFEST (in the competition).

 

 

3 films from Shortpiece! Sendai Short Film Festival project 311: Tomorrow (an anthology of short films made by 41 Japanese filmmakers in tribute to the March 11, 2011) will be airing on ARTE (German-French cultural channel) on March 16, 2012.

CaRTe bLaNChe collaborated with Court-circuit/KurzSchluss, ARTE’s unique short film program, for this special issue.

 

 

‘Nikotoko Island’ by Takuya Dairiki + Takashi Miura will be exhibited and screened at the exhibition Humour, parodie et vidéos Créations vidéo du Japon contemporain, at Maison de la Culture du Japon à Paris.

 

 

‘DREAMS’ by by Keiichi Tanaami + Nobuhiro Aihara is selected at Holland Animation Film Festival. Also, 5 films by Keiichi Tanaami, ‘DREAMS’ ‘A Gaze in Summer 1942′ ‘Fetich Doll’ ‘Sweet Friday’ ‘Scrap Diary’ are invited to Los Angeles Animation Festival by Sean Lennon, this year’s Artistic Director.
